The Challenge
The current logo was too minimal and it didn’t convey the message associated to Anissa’s brand. The challenge was to redesign a simple and memorable logo that captures the essence of growth, family roots and modern motherhood to better matches the values behind her work and her brand as a whole.
Research and Inspiration
I researched branding in wellness and editorial spaces, looking at how natural elements such as organic lines, botanical shapes and soft earthy colours create visual identities. Anissa liked the idea of a pine tree to symbolize strength, roots and growth, so I put together a moodboard to capture these themes, which set a clear direction for the logo design.
Colour Palette
The colour palette was kept minimal and neutral to maintain a calm and approachable tone. Earthy colours were chosen to support long-form content and reduce visual noise, helping site visitors focus on reading and engagement.
Logo Elements and Concept Development
The logo combines two key elements: a clean serif wordmark with a tagline and a custom pine tree. The tree symbolizes strength, stability, and growth, paired with elegant serif typography for a natural yet professional balance.
The new logo gives Anissa’s brand a clean, cohesive look that feels both professional and approachable. It better reflects her work on motherhood while staying versatile for her website and social media.
